So we all make resolutions and they probably are the same every year. All of us want to get fit, learn the meaning of life strolling in the park eating a doughnut and get discovered on American Idol (ok fine, so I have dreams!).
(Oprah voice): Why are so many of us unable to accomplish our goals? Brian Tracy, in his book “Eat That Frog” writes, “When you write down a goal, you crystallize it and give it tangible form. You create something that you can touch and see. On the other hand, a goal or objective that is not in writing is merely a wish or fantasy. It has no energy behind it. Unwritten goals lead to confusion, vagueness, misdirection, and numerous mistakes.”
So, putting an end to the growing misery of the world, I have introduced the Illustrated Resolution where the most important goals are illustrated and written down for you to pin at your work station or stuck on your refrigerator if you’re unemployed or folded safely in your wallet if you don’t own a fridge and be reminded 365 days a year! Discipline was NEVER this cool. Don’t believe me? Here’s a legit testimonial from a texting, selfie-clicking friend, “This is like…(5 second pause)… REALLY cool”. Apparently the word ‘like’ is deep. Very deep.
Anyways, here’s a sample Illustration:
